ONYX VENTURES

A holding group built on Africa's real economy.

Onyx Ventures holds and operates businesses in the sectors that move a country: minerals, finance, agriculture and logistics. The group began at the mine face in Mozambique and grew outward along its own value chain, adding the strategy, capital and transport capabilities its operations required.

Today the group presents one accountable counterparty to off-takers, investors, institutions and government stakeholders, with international contracting executed through the United Arab Emirates.

Mission

To develop African production into bankable international supply: owned at the source, documented to institutional standards and delivered on specification.

Vision

A diversified African group that global buyers, financiers and governments treat as a reference counterparty in every sector it enters.

What we hold ourselves to

Five working principles, applied across every division and every transaction.

Source control

We own and operate as close to the ground as possible. Control at source is what makes every commitment upstream of it credible.

Clean documentation

Verifiable origin, inspected cargoes, enforceable contracts. If it cannot be documented, it is not offered.

Proven before promised

Engagements start small: a trial cargo, a pilot programme, a first season. Scale follows demonstrated performance, not projections.

Local roots, international standards

Mozambican teams, land and licences, run to the compliance and reporting standards institutional counterparties require.

Long-term alignment

We prefer structures where our partners' returns depend on the same outcomes ours do: producing assets, delivered cargo, repaid capital.

Operating philosophy

The group sequences risk deliberately. Simple, near-term transactions establish performance; proven performance earns larger, longer commitments. Divisions share infrastructure, intelligence and counterparties, but each must justify itself commercially. Nothing is offered to a partner that the group has not first tested on its own account.

Long-term ambition

To move progressively up the value chain: from cargoes to concessions, from trading to processing, from domestic lending to regional investment. The ambition is measured in producing assets and institutional relationships, and it is deliberately built one proven transaction at a time.
